A nod to the vintage-style of bygone years. This perfume is 100% natural. No synthetics are used. This enchanting perfume is an homage to the infamous Elizabeth Bathory. This Hungarian noblewoman was said to have bathed in the blood of young girls in an attempt to retain her youth. This dark & mysterious fragrance opens with a huge dose of Bulgarian rose otto, saffron, Hungarian spices & honey. Murky base notes quickly arise to reveal an artisanal tincture of Dragon's Blood resin, Frankincense and a vintage leather which brings to mind the smell of a leather riding saddle after a long day's ride. A lovely civet & deer musk accord lends an animalic "dirtyness" to this fantasy historical recreation.

DID YOU KNOW?
Natural Perfume may appear slightly cloudy at times or particulate may be visible floating in the bottle. This is normal for perfumes containing high quantities of natural resins & waxes. I filter my natural perfumes multiple times before bottling, but due to changes in temperature & aging, a small amount of sediment may appear over time. This does not negatively affect the performance of the perfume. In fact, these natural waxes & resins are highly scented aromatic materials that will melt into your skin when applied, giving the perfume an enhanced richness & longevity. Enjoy!

Ok - even though Bathory is not my favorite out of the bunch - I know a masterpiece when I smell one! Bathory smells so personal - so unique...Its hard to explain but it is almost like a taboo type fragrance! Like - this is really what Elizabeth Bathory smelled like! Rich, Dark, Mysterious - A velvet gown with a fur-lined cape...Her perfume made of honey, rose and spices...And a hint of something more diabolical - blood perhaps? Very strange and animalic... I've never smelled anything like it!
This is such a beautiful vintage jammy rose scent with a touch of spiciness. I love it!
