I consider myself a bit of a perfume connoisseur - I own over 60 fragrances from mostly Niche and Indie perfume houses...Companies like Zoologist, Etat Libre D' Orange, Killian, Imaginary Authors, Frederic Malle, January Scent Project and many more...I am telling you this because Darren Alan has very quickly soared to the TOP of my list of absolute favorite perfumers! Shout out to Chirs and Camille from Making a Stink on YouTube! They introduced me to Darren and now I am OBSESSED! I bought Hekate, Chypre No. 1 and many samples (I am debating on what I want to get next) But TRUST me - Hekate and Chypre No. 1 are sooooo fantastic! So unique, mysterious, RICH and intricately crafted! I am speechless...Thank You Darren, these are just breathtaking. You have a skill that I would say rivals most fragrance masters out there today - Please keep going - I cannot wait to smell more of your creations! The most beautiful thing I've ever smelled!
I've never smelled a perfume like this before. When I spray it on, if I close my eyes, I'm literally transported to a deep, dark forest on a chilly autumn night. Pine trees, rotting leaves, pumpkin spice & some gorgeous woody, earthy base. The pine & cinnamon are a bit strong at first, but in a crisp, refreshing way. They quickly mellow out to reveal an elegant, soft woody & musky base. I also do smell the dried apricot & honey which oddly is not sweet. This is a dry, woody fragrance. I bought a 10mL but am ordering a full size before they are all gone. Such a unique & sophisticated scent!
